Not far from the Montreal hotels one will find The Lachine Market which is considered the oldest market in the city and happens to be the smallest as well. This is a quaint walk through an area that also has the City Hall that is located on Notre Dame Street.
You will also want to visit the Jean-Talon Market which gets the most attention from visitors to the city. The Saint-Jacques Market has also been around since the 1930s. While you are visiting these markets, keep your eyes open for some interesting activities like film making. These markets have been the location of a number of film and television projects.
